The Magic in cooking
Cooking is something that most people wish to do. Some will pursue it as a profession, while others do it out of passion, for fun, or out of compulsion (for example, homemakers who see cooking as part of their daily routine or chores).
If you view cooking as work, it may bore you. However, if you enjoy cooking, you will never stop for any reason. If you love cooking, even when you are sick, your mind won't let you stay away from the kitchen. I am not the kind of person who sees cooking through the lens of a homemaker or a professional; rather, I love to cook and enjoy exploring different culinary experiences.
Initially, I used to help my mom while she cooked. Later, I started to cook on my own without any help and began creating my own recipes. I learned different recipes from YouTube and also started cooking by altering my mom's recipes, adding or taking out ingredients that I prefer. However, all credit goes to none other than my mom. I enjoy my mom's cooking, but I have other preferences for adding ingredients which I have asked my mom to change. She told me to cook if I wanted, which stimulated my interest in cooking. Now, I proudly consider myself a 'chef,' not in the sense of a title given to chefs in restaurants, but a title given by my mom in my home.
Cooking is not just a process of preparing food for eating; it is an art that requires not only ingredients but also a touch of magic or a secret ingredient. An artist should love their work before creating art. If love and involvement are added to the work, the result will be an outstanding art.
The secret or magic ingredient is nothing but love, passion, and involvement. These are important and unavoidable ingredients required for every dish you make. Keep this in mind while cooking and see the magic in your dish when you serve it. You will definitely experience a different feeling and surely love it.
